Toby Kahler
Toby Kahler is a Germany-based commercial director and cinematographer.
Born in Marburg in 1980, Toby studied Communication Design in Hamburg before embarking on his journey as a freelance motion designer and cameraman. By 2007, he established motionctrl Filmproduktion, his own production company near Frankfurt, offering end-to-end filmmaking solutions for every aspect of the creative process - from concept development and shooting through to post-production.
While Toby has garnered significant recognition for his automotive productions - culminating in multiple International Motor Film Awards wins and eight nominations, including a nomination for Best Cinematography- his portfolio extends well beyond the automotive realm.
His expertise and his ability to create visually compelling narratives have attracted leading clients from various fields, such as Leica, Zeiss, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Puma, and Falken Tyres.
